Bill Mahre, does make a very important point. It has always offended me when a politician (Bush comes to mind) implies, or out right states, that being elite is a bad thing. Don't we want our leaders to be elite. I do. If I could elect people smarter than me, I would every time.
The pool of people smarter than me is large, perhaps we should start tapping into it, at least once in a while.
