Gun control

After the VT shootings there is bound to be a lot of discussion about gun control. Here is the problem we have to deal with. In our society a person can buy a gun quite easily. There are background checks, sure. Yet mentally unstable people can still buy a gun. Why? Medical records are private as they should be. How do you know if someone is mentally unstable when they go to buy a gun? You don't.
